The
mission of the Greater Metro Telecommunications Consortium
is to represent its member governments in the protection
of the public's interest in all matters of concern related
to telecommunications issues.
The consortium will demonstrate
its
strength through shared resources and expertise in the areas
of policy development, legislation, education, technology,
and programming.
The Greater Metro Telecommunications
Consortium (GMTC) is a board of local
government representatives comprised of 34
communities in the greater metropolitan
Denver, Colorado area. Formed in 1992 to
facilitate franchise agreements with local
cable television companies, the GMTC has
since realized bargaining strength and
recognition in all areas of
telecommunications expertise.
